I am experienced in treating anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD and have extensive and specialized training in working with children and teens, parent-child relationships, families, domestic violence, and changing intergenerational patterns while improving relationships. My work is based in poststructural, anti-colonial, feminist ideas of relationships, power and wellness. I use Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy as well as play therapy, expressive arts and strengths-based interventions in my collaborative approach to working with clients. My writing on working with interpreters to provide therapy services for folks from refugee/asylee backgrounds appears in the Bilingualism, Culture and Social Justice in Family Therapy textbook published by Springer. You are the expert in your life, I am here to bring change into focus.
