I am a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience working with adults, children, adolescents and families. I received my Master's degree from California State University Long Beach with an emphasis in working with older adults. I have had unique experiences working with people from diverse backgrounds, both in the U.S. and internationally, and in multiple settings from residential, school- based, and community-based agencies. Most recently, I have worked with Native Americans on a reservation in Arizona. I have a strengths-based perspective in approaching therapy, first assisting clients in identifying their own strengths and attributes to utilize when addressing identified problems in therapy. I combine aspects of person-centered approaches with somatic psychology and DBT to provide a full range of interventions and skills to clients. I am especially receptive to client feedback and preferences in treatment, and will seek ongoing feedback from clients to ensure their therapeutic needs are being met from the very first session.
